what equipment do I need software or electronic to make a mix of video tapes?
I want to make a sports montage of clips and plays to music in one long CD or DVD.
Is there a software for computer to mix?(music adds easier this way?) Do I need to mix it from the DVD type device and use TV as monitor??
I use Adobe Premiere, myself, although it’s very pricey. But if you’re looking for something cheaper to do basic editing, then the software that came with your capture device probably has limited features that allow you to do cuts between scenes, perhaps even basic fades. The audio is displayed on a separate track so you can overlay a different one if you choose.
Windows Movie Maker comes free with WIndows XP and provides limited capability. More expensive software (such as Adobe) allows multiple tracks, individual track tinkering, special effects and transitions, and real time review of your edits before rendering a final product.
